It is the last week. Heat four of the London Latte Art Smackdown before we head off to Square Mile for the final with the top 16 baristas competing for prizes, money, trophies and glory. This will be fantastic, with an amazing cross section of competitors form across the top London cafes competing for the last four places to get in amongst it.
Last week in heat three, we had Tim 'Styles' Williams, one of the true legends of the London Coffee scene alongside last years winner David Urbinati form Artisan Coffee as guest judges, with our usual lead Judge and photographer Glenn Watson assessing the quality of the pours.
We even had Giovanni Fucilli form Victoria Arduino in the crowd checking on the pours and also how the Black Eagle was performing under all the pressure of making shots and steaming milk. Considering it is the World Barista Competition Espresso machine, it performed very well.
In the end, it was these four who got through to the final at Square Mile on the 6th October.
